Gong Fu Wu Shu (Modern Kung Fu)

The modern interpretation of Chinese martial arts, an ideal synthesis between the original styles of Northern China, is characterized by fluid techniques and fast and precise movements, as those of the South, which give maximum impulse to close combat techniques.

It is mainly a form of art, similar in some ways to the Chinese circus disciplines, rather than a combat discipline, but this is what makes it extraordinary in the common imaginary.

The IACMA academy has consolidated its twenty years of experience in teaching martial arts to children, considering the natural and adaptive gifts of the child, who can join the classes from the age of four. First, martial games offer the program to educate the child to discover its dynamic potential in the space from this age. Later, when the child reaches school age, the teaching is directed to control his energies and thus instills self-discipline. From that moment, having acquired the basis for a correct evolution to safeguard his psychophysical growth, the new student of Wushu explores the richness and the extraordinary nature of this art. The program of Wushu that follows the didactic directives of the “IWF” (International Wushu Federation) is broad and complete. It includes:
free body exercises, solo or with traditional weapons in sequences, so-called “Dao Lu,” essential to understanding the function of speed and dynamic force;

  • the work with the codified fight, to help the child to understand the value and the respect for the role of the body in the comparison and so educate him to the value of that “self,” unique in martial disciplines. Which is dissociated decisively with the competitive concept aimed exclusively at dominating for the result, common to Western sports;
  • exercises application, free-body or with traditional weapons, extremely important for the harmonious growth of the body structure, especially in adolescence;
  • psycho-energetic and meditative exercises related to developing resilient potential in mind, leading to better concentration, emotional control, self-esteem and relational management.

Fundamental study of language and calligraphy, as integrative subjects, addressed to open explorative paths during the practice of Wushu.

The school provides the student two paths, the amateur and the formative one. The latter is a path that offers excellent integrated educational and cultural skills and leads to study experiences directly in China and/or professional qualification of the experiences gained.
